Direct Shipping FAQ
Don't want to deal with delivery or pick up? No problem! I offer factory direct shipping for a select group of products. Want some more good news? Starting Dec. 12, I've included the cost of shipping within the price of all my items that ship directly to your house. Pretty cool, huh?!
What is Direct Shipping?
Some Value Express products ship direct from the manufacturer. Shipping fees are included in the price for these products. Direct Ship products are delivered via FedEx, typically within 5-7 days, and are not available for pickup. An email with FedEx tracking information is sent once the order ships. Some assembly may be required for Direct Ship items. Look for the Shipping Included badge or browse all Shipping Included products here.
Is there a fee for Direct Shipping?
I believe in making things simple and easy, so I've included the cost of shipping in the price of the products. You don't need to do any extra math, trying to add the cost of shipping to the cost of the product. Math was not my favorite subject! Just shop, select, ship and sit back and wait for your product to be delivered right to your doorstep. And while you're wating, maybe binge on my favorite docuseries, "The History of Furniture"! The episode on the evolution of the sofa arm and sectional arm is amazing!
Are Direct Shipping items available for Pick Up?
No. Direct Ship items always ship via FedEx, direct from the vendor, and are not available for Pick Up.
Can I have a Direct Ship item shipped anywhere?
Direct Ship items can be shipped to anywhere within Bob's current delivery areas.
How will I know when my Direct Shipping item has shipped?
You will receive an email from Bob's Discount Furniture to update you that the merchandise has shipped and we will provide you with the FedEx tracking number.
Do I have to be home to receive the FedEx delivery of a Direct Ship item(s)?
FedEx will drop your purchase at your door. No signature is required, so you do not need to be home to accept delivery.
What happens if the Direct Ship item I receive is damaged?
If your Direct Ship item is damaged upon receipt, please call our Web Support line at 860-474-1089. A Customer Care agent will work with you to return the damaged product via FedEx. We will then arrange a new shipment of a replacement product.
How will I know if a product ships directly from the manufacturer?
You will see a "Shipping Included" badge on the product pages of items that Direct Ship.
Are Direct Ship items on display in Bob's store showrooms?
No. Direct Ship items are viewable online only. You can purchase Direct Ship items online and in-store.
Can I purchase a Direct Ship item in a Bob's store?
Yes. Even though Direct Ship items are not displayed in our showrooms, you are still able to order them in-store.
