Most Frequently Asked Questions

Unfortunately, our delivery teams can only remove an old mattress and/or foundation if they are delivering a new mattress and/or foundation under my BOBtastic Delivery Experience, as long as it's in safe and sanitary condition.


Our delivery teams cannot remove old bedding for mattresses shipped via FedEx under the Bob's Value Express program.


We recommend that you call your city or town to determine the best method of disposal, or search out a local charity that may be able to pick up your furniture and benefit from its reuse.

Our sales associates are also able to provide you with the measurements of the furniture you are selecting. These tools are provided to help better assist you in the decorating and planning of the room to ensure maximum satisfaction.

Much of the information regarding a particular furniture item such as color options, dimensions, material, style, etc. can be found in the Product Details section on the product page for that item. Feel free to chat with one of our Customer Service representatives if you are unable to find an answer.
Once your order has been submitted, it is immediately forwarded for processing. For that reason, changes can only be made by calling or visiting a Bob's Discount Furniture store. Additional items will require another method of payment other than PayPal (for example, credit card, check and cash) as PayPal can only be used on our website.
Some of Bob’s manufacturers offer additional color choices. There is a nominal special order fee of $39.99 for the entire order, regardless of the number of pieces that were special-ordered. These items have to be ordered from the manufacturer and shipping times may vary. The store where you placed your order can provide more details on shipping. You must be prepared to accept delivery of your furniture within two weeks of when you are notified it has arrived.
Bob’s Discount Furniture does not offer coupons. Any coupons found on coupon sites are fraudulent, and cannot be honored by Bob’s. For more information on this, see my coupon page. To enjoy even deeper discounts on new furniture, visit my Outlet page.

Payment

Bob’s accepts a variety of payment options including cash, check, credit card [Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, PayPal (online only)], financing through Wells Fargo with approved credit, and our ‘No Credit Option’ backed by AcceptanceNow (for in-store purchases only). Or you may call or visit your closest Bob's store and the office associates can help you check your Bob's gift card balance.

For your convenience, we offer you a "Price Protection" plan to assist with your furniture purchase. This program locks the price of the furniture for up to one full year at no cost to you, and we do not charge interest or fees even if the price of the furniture goes up. All you need to do is make equal monthly payments for up to one year. Once you have fully paid for your purchase, the item(s) are yours!


However, since our Price Protection Plan does not have your order specifically set aside like in a layaway plan, we ask that you give us 30-days notice prior to your wanting delivery (or pickup) so that our merchandising team can get your order ready for you. While we ask for 30-days notice, we will be able to get to you much sooner in most cases.


We also offer AcceptanceNow at many of our stores (not available in NJ & WI). AcceptanceNow is a great way to build your credit and get some great new furniture in your home. Contact a Store Location near you to learn more.

PayPal is a service that allows consumers the option to pay for products online without sharing personal financial information. This is another secure payment option available on our website to make buying from Bob’s convenient, quick, and easy. For more details, visit PayPal.
If you decide to cancel your order, we will credit the same PayPal account that was used originally. PayPal will credit the funds accordingly. This usually takes approximately three to five banking days from the date the order is canceled.

Recycling & Social Responsibility

Yes! I recycling the majority of all packaging materials including cardboard, plastic and foam. Last year alone, I recycled over 10 tons of materials.
I aim to recycle 70% of all the dining chair boxes that are used across all of my five distribution centers. I ship around 400,000 dining chair boxes a year, so you can imagine that’s a lot of boxes! Through a team effort, we’re able to recycle an average of 5,000 dining chair boxes a week. That’s about 260,000 over the course of just one year.
If you purchase a mattress from Bob’s and have it delivered using BOBtastic Delivery Experience, we will remove your old mattress as long as it is in sanitary condition. The mattress is then shipped back to the distribution center for recycling.
If a piece of furniture is just slightly damaged – a little ding or scratch – I’ll drop the price and put it in my Outlet so you can enjoy the savings! I also donate truckloads of furniture to local nonprofit organization within the local communities of my stores.

Bob’s Discount Furniture is involved in a variety of eco-friendly initiatives from recycling programs to responsible wood sourcing. To that end, we are working closely with our suppliers toward our long-term goal of eliminating unacceptable sources of wood. Specifically, we are working with our vendors to increase the amount of responsible wood sourcing in our furniture assortment which includes wood from certified and reclaimed/recycled sources.


Bob’s Discount Furniture’s expectation is that our vendors do not use wood from unacceptable sources, including:


• Illegally harvested or traded timber

• Timber harvested in violation of traditional or civil rights

• Timber harvested from areas in which high conservation values are threatened by poor forest management

• Timber from forests in which genetically modified trees are planted


Our goal is to continually expand our vendors’ 3rd party certification system with a strong preference for the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) as an industry leader in promoting forest management.


As a leader in the furniture industry, in adopting and implementing our Responsible Wood Sourcing Policy, we seek to set a positive example for our peers and to do our part to protect the world’s forests. Let’s all work together to protect our planet!

Charitable giving and community aid have always been important elements of my company culture. Each month, the Charitable Foundation along with my Outreach team, provide aid and donations to hundreds of organizations and individuals with over 2.75 million dollars in gift certificates and monetary donations distributed each year to social service agencies, charities, group homes and community fundraisers, children’s charities, schools and community service groups.
