Claims for Uniters policies can be made in 3 easy ways: online, by phone (877-358-3308), or by downloading the Bob's Goof Proof mobile app from Apple App Store or Google Play.
How long do I have to file the claim after an incident?
We understand life can be busy! After you discover your incident, you have 60 days to file a claim with Uniters Goof Proof.
What does "5 Years of Coverage" mean?
5 years of Goof Proof coverage includes:
- Unlimited in-home service for covered incidents.
- When a covered incident occurs, a professional service technician can be scheduled to come to your home and restore the stained or damaged area back to factory standards at no cost to you.
- For covered incidents, service technician visits, parts, and labor are all free within the 5-year period.
- If the covered item cannot be restored to factory standards, the damaged piece of furniture will be replaced, at full value, without any additional cost to you!
What happens if my furniture has to be replaced?
Replacement occurs if a covered stain or damage cannot be restored to factory standards under your purchased Goof Proof Plan. If a piece has to be replaced, it is done at absolutely no cost to you. There is never a depreciation or pro-rating of the value of your piece. You won't even pay for delivery of the new piece! If a piece has to be replaced, this satisfies the Goof Proof contract for that item. The new item will have Bob's standard one-year guarantee against factory defects, and you can choose to purchase Bob's Goof Proof for your new item.
Can I purchase a new Goof Proof plan for my replacement piece?
Absolutely! If a piece has to be replaced through Goof Proof, you do have the option to purchase a new 5-year Goof Proof plan for the new item. If you'd like help purchasing Goof Proof for your new piece, chat with the Bob's Squad.
When does the protection plan coverage start?
Your Goof Proof coverage begins on the day your furniture is delivered to your home!
What is and isn't covered
What is considered an incident? An accident from a single incident that results in a stain or damage (e.g., while vacuuming, you accidentally hit the chair leg and cause a gouge). Multiple stains or damages that happen over a period of time are considered accumulation and would not be covered.
What incidents are covered by Goof Proof?
Although many types of incidents are covered, not everything is. A complete list of covered incidents can be found above under Product Coverage.
What is not covered by Goof Proof?
Bob's Goof Proof only covers specific incidents. Here are some examples of damage that are not covered by Goof Proof:
- Damage caused by misuse or abuse (such as jumping on furniture)
- Reporting an incident outside of the 60-day reporting time frame
- Accumulation of stains and damages
