Bobs x Bruins: Committed to Community

Bob’s Discount Furniture believes that strong communities are built when people come together—and when they do, real impact follows. That spirit was on full display through our continued partnership with the Boston Bruins, as we joined forces to support individuals and families at the Lazarus House Ministries.

Together, our teams rolled up our sleeves and delivered more than 20 new mattresses, foundations, and complete bedding sets, to the women and children staying at the emergency shelter. It was a hands-on effort rooted in a shared belief: everyone deserves a safe, comfortable place to rest.

Lazarus House Ministries is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting individuals and families facing poverty, homelessness, and food insecurity in the Merrimack Valley. Founded with a mission rooted in dignity and compassion, it provides essential services such as daily meals, a food pantry, temporary shelter, and access to education and job training programs. Beyond meeting immediate needs, Lazarus House focuses on long-term stability by helping guests build skills, find employment, and secure permanent housing. It provides essential support including daily meals at their soup kitchen, a food pantry distributing 18,000+ pounds of supplemental groceries each week to the public, temporary shelter and two transitional housing buildings, and a path to self-sufficiency through access to resources such as education and job training programs.

At Bob’s, we know that a good night’s sleep is more than just comfort—it’s a critical first step toward stability, dignity, and hope. For individuals balancing work, school, and the challenges that come with housing insecurity, rest is not a luxury; it’s essential. By providing these resources, we’re helping create a stronger foundation for brighter days ahead.

Our longstanding relationship with the Bruins continues to be a powerful force for good in the communities we both serve.
