Bob’s Discount Furniture is proud to partner with the Arizona Diamondbacks to provide a common room makeover for the residents of MANA (Marines, Army, Navy, Airforce) House. MANA House is a peer-support organization of homeless and formerly homeless veterans.
MANA House currently houses about 76 veterans and Bob’s and the Diamondbacks reimagined the common area to provide new recliners and relaxing furniture to help make the space feel more inviting and encourage a sense of community for residents.
Bob’s and the Diamondbacks have a longstanding commitment to supporting active military and veterans as well as supporting organizations focused on providing housing for those in need.
“We were honored when the Diamondbacks called on Bob’s to help furnish MANA House,” said Kevin Parker, Divisional Vice President at Bob’s Discount Furniture. “One of Bob’s core values is supporting the community, and we know this furniture and this beautifully renovated space will make a difference for the residents of MANA House. We know having a comfortable place to relax and unwind is a crucial part of recovery.”
The Diamondbacks volunteer crew helped prepare the room for residents with new paint and by decorating the space in a patriotic homage including a mural of Chase Field.

Alongside the Diamondbacks, members of Bob’s Discount Furniture helped celebrate the dedication of the renovated space. Mario Gutierrez, Regional Delivery Director, Bob’s Discount Furniture, Sergeant, USMC, spoke to the veterans about his personal connection to the military as a Marine. Additionally, on behalf of Bob’s delivery team, Mario gifted all attendees challenge coins to commemorate the day, and the work still needed to be done to support veterans.
