Daybeds
It’s a couch! It’s a bed! It’s… both!
A cozy daybed is the perfect solution for smaller guest bedrooms, children’s sleepovers, or a home office (for when that lunchbreak power nap is calling your name!). Part couch, part bed, daybeds easily toe the line between function and fashionable seating. Warm lighting and a nightstand or end table to keep your necessities nearby makes for a ultra-comfy nook, anywhere in your home.
A daybed is a space-saving sleeping setup that can be styled and used as actual seating during the day! They’re typically designed with the headboard along the long side of the bed, rather than the head of the bed, and can be styled with throw pillows and blankets to resemble a cozy sofa!
It depends on the daybed frame you select! Some bundles include a mattress (or two, if you select one of my daybeds with trundles!) and others are sold separately. My selection of twin size mattresses in all feels and comfort levels is sure to fit your needs for rest and relaxation—day or night!
You can style a daybed any number of ways. If the primary function is for daytime seating with the occasional overnight guest, find a sturdy set of sheets (or daybed cover!) and load it up with throw pillows and cushions that’ll make it inviting and totally lounge-worthy. Next up, add some end tables with a stylish lamp or two and a computer desk or TV stand for the ultimate den.
If you plan to fit your daybed into a guest or child’s bedroom, you’ll first need to consider whether your child will have friends sleeping over every other weekend or if you’ll be hosting more than one guest at a time—if the answer is yes, think about a trundle bed! Once you’ve determined how many mattresses you’ll need, then it’s time to get styling. Pick out a comforter or quilt set you love and pile on the pillows.
