Bob's Salutes America's Military This 250th Anniversary

As America marks its 250th anniversary, we’re reflecting on what it means to support the people who have shaped our nation’s story. For Bob’s one way we honor military service is by supporting veterans, active-duty service members, and military families as they build stability and comfort in their lives.

From furnishing homes for veterans experiencing homelessness to partnering with national organizations and sports teams that serve military communities, Bob’s is proud to stand behind those who serve.

A Tiny Way to Help Veterans

One of our most meaningful recent efforts was furnishing six tiny homes for veterans experiencing homelessness in North Carolina. Bob's was honored to these homes supported by the Tiny House Community Development's veteran housing initiative in Greensboro, North Carolina. The nonprofit works to reduce homelessness by developing permanent tiny home communities that pair safe, affordable housing with workforce training, education, and supportive services to help residents achieve long-term independence. Each home is designed to provide veterans with privacy, dignity, and stability while connecting them with the resources needed to successfully transition to permanent housing. By donating furniture for every home, Bob's helped transform these newly built houses into welcoming living spaces, ensuring veterans had not just a roof over their heads, but a comfortable place to begin their next chapter.

Supporting Service Members Through the USO

Bob’s partnership with the USO supports service members and their families across America. The partnership began as Bob’s opened its first stores in North Carolina last year. We kicked things off with a $25,000 donation, in-store fundraising, and furniture donations including furnishing several rooms at the USO Center at Camp Lejeune in North Carolina. We also furnished the newly renovated USO Center at the Sub Base in Connecticut at the end of 2025.

Furnishing these spaces helps create a welcoming space where service members and families can rest, gather, and reconnect during periods of deployment and transition.

Today, we have expanded our support across American and continues through programs such as Café Collections for a Cause and Plushies for Charity, which allow guests to participate in supporting military communities. Now through the end of the year, $5 from the sale of every Little Bob Plushie will support the USO.

As Bob’s enters Tennessee, we will furnish several rooms at the USO Center in Fort Campbell, creating places for military members to relax, game, and collaborate.

Supporting Military Families Through Operation Homefront

For more than six years, Bob’s has partnered with Operation Homefront to support military families as they transition into civilian life through our Café Collections for a Cause program. Most recently, Bob’s and its guests contributed $50,000 to the organization’s Transitional Housing program, helping provide a year of housing for a military family.

In addition, Bob’s has furnished homes for families beginning new chapters and transitioning from military service.

In total, Bob’s is proud to have contributed more than $350,000 since the partnership began, combining financial support, volunteerism, and product donations to help families achieve long-term stability.

Supporting Military Families Through Sports Partnerships

Bob’s and our partners have a shared commitment to supporting the military and we have extended our reach together through several meaningful projects.

In partnership with the New England Patriots, Bob’s supported a military family by fully furnishing their new home as they transitioned from homelessness into more permanent housing.

In Arizona, Bob’s partnered with the Arizona Diamondbacks to support MANA House, an organization dedicated to helping homeless veterans rebuild independence, supporting its mission through community engagement and donations.

These efforts reflect a shared commitment to sports partners who use their platforms to recognize and support those who have served.

A Legacy of Service

As America marks 250 years, Bob’s is reminded that the strength of our country is rooted in the service and sacrifice of others.

Whether furnishing homes for veterans in North Carolina, supporting military families through national nonprofits, or working alongside sports organizations that give back, Bob’s remains committed to helping service members feel supported, respected, and at home.

Because honoring those who is one way we can mark this milestone moment for our country but it’s also an ongoing honor to make it part of Bob’s continued community mission.
