March 24, 2025

Thank you to our guests who have contributed to our Café Collections for a Cause to benefit Operation Homefront! Your donations, matched dollar-for-dollar by Bob’s, enabled us to contribute $50,000 to Operation Homefront. This contribution brings Bob’s all-time giving to the organization to over $350,000 since partnering in 2019!

Ramesh Murthy, Chief Operating Officer at Bob’s Discount Furniture, presented a ceremonial donation to Operation Homefront at one of Bob’s newly opened locations in Frederick, Maryland in March.

Funds collected in store cafés from October through December 2024, directly benefit Operation Homefront Transitional Housing (Apartments), which is headquartered in Frederick. The $50,000 donation will provide full sponsorship of a housing unit for a family for a full year.

For many veterans and military families, transitioning to civilian life presents many obstacles, including finding an affordable place to live and securing employment to support themselves and their families. Transitional Housing (Apartments) provides veterans with a rent/utilities-free apartment for one year, while giving them the opportunity to utilize both employment and financial counselor services, to help achieve stability and chart a path to long-term post-military success.

“Home is the heart of our business, and we’re honored to support the Operation Homefront Transitional Housing program,” said Ramesh. “We are impressed by the services Operation Homefront offers military families and we’re proud to support such a vital program like transitional housing. We know having a stable home and a path to long-term post military success is crucial for positive outcomes.”

Regan Huneycutt, Chief Revenue Officer of Operation Homefront accepted the donation from Bob’s alongside Army veteran Camrin Joyner.

Camrin and his wife Ria Joyner are current residents at Operation Homefront’s rent-free transitional housing apartments in Frederick. Camrin honorably separated from the Army, where he served as a Military Police Officer, due to medical reasons. The separation was unexpected and Camrin and Ria, found themselves struggling financially, and were relieved when they were accepted into Operation Homefront’s rent-free Transitional Housing-Apartments program.

Camrin is currently pursuing his bachelor’s degree in cyber security so that he can have a career as a Data Analyst. Ria, who has her bachelor’s degree in English, is an Online Tutor. Ria is also studying for law school and is prepping for the LSAT.

Since they joined the program, they have been very successful in increasing their savings and their income. They are working hard to purchase a home once Camrin finishes his degree.  According to Camrin, this program has had a profound impact to help him and his wife become more stable and be able to secure a solid future.

“We have been so proud to be regularly selected for Café Collections for a Cause, giving customers a chance to stand behind the military families who serve our nation, and having those gifts matched by Bob’s Discount Furniture,” said Regan Huneycutt, Chief Revenue Officer for Operation Homefront. “We are so grateful and could not do our important work without the support of partners like Bob’s Discount Furniture.”
