Two-time Super Bowl champion David Andrews and his wife, Mackenzie, returned for a second year to support families of the nonprofit Abby’s House located in Worcester, Massachusetts.

Andrews teamed up with Bob’s Discount Furniture to furnish three affordable supportive housing apartments for families in need.

Abby’s House provides shelter and affordable housing, as well as advocacy and support services to homeless, battered, and low-income women with and without children.

The Andrews Family and Bob’s Community Outreach team helped furnish three, two-bedroom apartments located in a 7-unit house operated by Abby’s House. Families needed bedroom furniture, dining room sets and sofas to complete their homes.

This winter, Bob’s delivery team got to work setting up furniture for the families, which included a clothing dresser for a teenager and bunk beds for sisters. A dining room table was delivered so one family could have a place to come together to eat, do homework and bond.

“It felt like my birthday walking into my house from work with beautiful furniture. Forever grateful,” one recipient exclaimed.

Andrews also donated gift cards to all seven families supported in this home.

Last year, Andrews served pancakes on National Pancake Day at Abby’s House with support from the Patriots Foundation.

Abby’s House has been supporting Worcester women for over 45 years and has helped more than 15,000 women and children reclaim and rebuild their lives.
