Bob’s Community Crew: Helping Make Hope House Feel More Like Home
Bob’s Community Crew team from our store in Greenfield, Wisconsin has made a meaningful impact for neighbors in need. Powered by Bob’s new initiative, Bob’s Community Crew, which empowers employees to give back to local communities in ways that matter most, this volunteer team worked with Hope House of Milwaukee to renovate common areas of its St. Catherine’s Residence to make the transitional and permanent housing accommodations feel more inviting.
Bob’s guest experience specialist, Katie Weidman, took the lead in bringing the project to life with the support of manager, Natalie Kent.
“When I learned that Hope House had a need for new furniture, it was a natural fit for Bob’s help,” said Katie. “We know new furniture can make a difference in creating more welcoming spaces.”

Katie and her Greenfield teammates rolled up their sleeves to paint and ready the space for the new furniture, donated by Bob’s.
“Volunteering to renovate this space was so meaningful to the Greenfield team,” added Katie. “It was so exciting seeing the new items in the space and to know we were able to support Hope House to make this happen.”
The new furniture gives residents places to sit together, read, work, relax, and connect. Most importantly, it helps create spaces that feel warm, comfortable, and a little more like home.
“Its so incredible, the attention Katie and the Bob’s team gave to making the space peaceful, inviting and warm is wonderful. We are grateful for the team and the community that makes our work possible,” said Patrick Schrank, Development Director of Hope House of Milwaukee.
Hope House of Milwaukee provides shelter and supportive services to individuals and families experiencing homelessness, helping people find stability and take steps toward a brighter future. We’re proud to support the important work they do and grateful for the opportunity to contribute.
We’re especially proud of Katie, Natalie, and the entire Greenfield team for seeing a need and doing something about it. Their work is a great example of the spirit behind Bob’s Community Crew: empowering our local teams to listen to their communities, lend a hand, and make a difference where it matters most.
