How Bob’s Discount Furniture Celebrated World Kindness Day 2025

At Bob’s Discount Furniture, kindness is more than a one-day event—it’s part of who we are. But during World Kindness Day on November 13, our teams across the country took that mission to the next level with a series of surprise moments designed to delight customers and lift up one another.

Spreading Joy in Our Stores

In 18 select Bob’s stores, customers were greeted with an unexpected moment of joy – their very own Little Bob plushy to take home. These small but meaningful surprises sparked countless smiles from guests of all ages. Many customers shared their excitement and gratitude, proving that even simple gestures can make a big impact.

Surprise Gifts at Our Distribution Centers

In four of our distribution centers, associates selected one lucky customer picking up their order to receive a Bob’s gift card! These spontaneous acts of kindness created heartfelt moments and showcased the generosity of our teams behind the scenes.

Delivery Operations: Kindness Delivered—Literally

Our Delivery Operations team turned World Kindness Day into a day-long celebration of appreciation. Each Regional Delivery Manager chose a scheduled delivery and personally joined the delivery team to surprise a customer.

Upon arrival, these 14 lucky customers received:

  • A warm thank-you for being a valued member of the Bob’s family
  • A Golden Ticket announcing that Bob’s would refund their delivery fee
  • A Little Bob plushy
  • A World Kindness Day challenge coin to commemorate the moment

The reactions? Pure joy. Smiles, gratitude, and even a few happy tears—one customer even gave Frank P. a hug! Many customers expressed how much the unexpected thoughtfulness meant to them and shared that they look forward to returning to Bob’s for future needs.

Home Office: Celebrating Kindness Among Teammates All November Long

World Kindness Day wasn’t just about customers—it was also about recognizing the kindness within our own walls. At the Home Office, associates filled up a giant heart poster with written shout-outs, celebrating coworkers who make a positive difference every day. The board quickly filled with uplifting notes, gratitude, and encouragement.

A Team Effort Worth Celebrating

This special day couldn’t have happened without support from every level of the organization. Teams from stores, operations, distribution, delivery, and corporate all worked together to create a company-wide celebration of kindness that truly reflected Bob’s values.

World Kindness Day may come once a year, but the compassion, generosity, and teamwork we saw today are what make Bob’s Discount Furniture special all year long.
