Searching for a way to dial up your home style (in addition to snagging tons of fun pieces from Bob’s)? An easy way to freshen up any room is to make your own vibrant floral arrangement! There’s no shame in using faux flowers, but if you want to build your own bouquet and aren’t sure where to start, head to your local flower shop or grocery store and grab some stems. We’ll talk you through the rest!
Step one: Consider your container

The first step to create your own floral arrangement is to pick a vase that brings you joy. When choosing the base of your floral arrangement, consider what role you’d like it to play. Do you want your vase to add a pop of color, serve as a grounding neutral or complement the colors in your arrangement? Is there a vase you’d like to use all year, or one that suits a certain season? The possibilities are endless!
Step two: Get your greens

Next, build your base with greenery. This is where you can play with texture and height. For a fuller look, choose multiple foundational greens, or keep it simple and cut your greenery to varying heights for a layered effect.
Step three: Pick your petals

The time of the year makes a difference here. Depending on where you live, certain flowers may only be available in warmer or cooler weather. Lean into the season at hand and choose blooms that reflect the weather outside. Like with your greenery, you can use multiple flowers (a mix of smaller and larger petals looks great) or cut your single flower style into varying heights for visual interest.
Step four: Rinse and repeat

What’s better than one gorgeous floral arrangement? Two! Nothing projects purposeful style like a cluster of freshly cut flowers in multiple pots. Here, you can go wild with different vases and flowers, or create a streamlined look using the same florals and vase style in different sizes. Either way, you’ll have created a chic conversation piece that complements your home décor. Now get growing!
