Local organizations near each of the 135 Bob\u2019s Discount Furniture stores and 5 distribution centers will receive a $2,000 donation from the furniture retailer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cDuring this season of giving, we are excited to support food pantries in our communities for the seventh year in a row,\u201d said Bob Kaufman, president emeritus and co-founder of Bob\u2019s Discount Furniture. \u201cThis time of year can be a challenge for those families struggling to put food on the table. This year in particular, we understand the challenges many are facing and we\u2019re hoping these donations help provide meals to those in need during this holiday season.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Throughout the year, the Bob\u2019s Discount Furniture Charitable Foundation supports many children and youth service organizations. As the holidays approach, the retailer will spread its charitable arm to support those in need, providing necessary funds to local food pantries in the fight to end hunger.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>“As we continue to navigate the pandemic, we’re mindful that those we serve will be among the last to recover from the economic devastation felt by so many. We’re serving up to 4 times as many families as we were pre-COVID. At the same time, food costs have increased 15-20% since last summer.
