For the past few years, we have given our employees the opportunity to nominate a charity or non-profit that holds a special place in their hearts.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I just love reading all of the responses and hearing about the great work that our employees are doing in their own communities.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This year, Bob\u2019s is proud to offer 30 Days of Giving to our employees and the responses have been great! Starting on Friday, Nov. 5, we will update the blog every week with a new batch of honorees. Due to their food buying program, the $1,000 Random Act of Kindness check will yield over $4,000 worth of food. How amazing is that?!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Michael Broughton, an Operations Manager at our Taftville, CT location nominated Project Pin Food Pantry for our 30 Days of Giving campaign. Broughton said he and many Bob\u2019s employees from the Taftville location support the food pantry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve always been a big proponent of charity. It\u2019s how I was raised and certainly how I try to raise my kids,\u201d said Broughton. \u201cWe always get them out there and when we do donate non-perishable goods, I always make sure to get a couple of boxes of ziti and a couple of jars of peanut butter so that they can put them in the bin. She also provides prizes for every game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Currently, Parker-Brown has set up donation bins in stores in the Greater Hartford area to collect clothing for the homeless.
