<p>Bob’s Discount Furniture proudly celebrated a major milestone in its partnership with Family Promise with a $16,645 donation raised through the sale of Little Bob plushies for charity. The donation was presented during the grand opening of Bob’s new store and distribution center in Solon, Ohio, marking a meaningful moment of giving back to the local community.</p>
<p>“Because of partners like Bob’s, more families are able to move from uncertainty to safe, stable housing,” said Family Promise CEO Cheryl Schuch. “Every Little Bob plushie sold represents a family supported, a child given stability, and a step closer to ending family homelessness. We’re deeply grateful for Bob’s continued commitment and for the customers who turned a simple purchase into lasting impact.”</p>
<p>The funds were raised through Bob’s Plushies for Charity program in the second half of 2025, which donated $5 from every Little Bob plushie sold at participating locations to Family Promise.</p>

<p>Bob’s is grateful to every guest who purchased a Little Bob plushie, supporting families experiencing homelessness and proving that even small purchases can make a big difference.</p>
<p>The donation held special significance as the Solon location is just minutes from Family Promise of Greater Cleveland, a local affiliate Bob’s had already supported through volunteer efforts last year at the culmination of our Café Collections for a Cause program. Bob’s team members volunteered their time to help prepare back-to-school supplies for children served by Family Promise.</p>

<p><em>Bob’s presented a donation to Family Promise for $37,000 for donations collected during their Café Collections for a Cause campaign in 2025, which included a dollar-for-dollar match from Bob’s as well as packed school supplies for children served by Family Promise of Greater Cleveland.</em></p>
<p>“The Little Bob plushies for charity program allowed our customers to be part of something truly meaningful,” said Lindsay Ruszczyk, Director of Communications, PR, and Community Outreach at Bob’s Discount Furniture. “Raising over $16,000 through plushie sales showed how collective generosity — one plushie at a time — could help families move closer to safe, stable housing.”</p>
<p>The plushies program built on Bob’s ongoing partnership with Family Promise, which previously included Café Collections for Cause fundraising and hands-on volunteer events. Together, these efforts reinforced Bob’s commitment to supporting Family Promise’s mission to prevent and end family homelessness across the country.</p>

<p>Since that first donation, our partnership has continued to grow and the USO team has embraced the fun and friendly spirit of our Little Bob plushie, bringing him along on adventures from North Carolina bases to Guam and Japan. Seeing photos of Little Bob traveling the world has been an incredible reminder of the impact that small gestures of comfort can have.</p>

<p><strong>MANCESHTER, CT – July 1</strong> – <a href="https://blog.mybobs.com/?srsltid=AfmBOorwQMI_Q7wFktx8tXRmKHaZDCoSOpvzlHrdVeyByYmNnCrQiljs">Bob’s Discount Furniture</a>, one of the fastest growing omnichannel furniture retailers in the country, will be supporting Family Promise through its Plushies for Charity program.</p><p>Bob’s will contribute $5 from the sale of each Little Bob plushie sold in participating Bob’s locations to <a href="https://familypromise.org/">Family Promise</a>, which strives to help end homelessness for families. The plushies will be available now through December 31, 2025.</p><p>Bob’s first <a href="https://blog.mybobs.com/blog/bobs-welcomes-family-promise/">partnered</a> with Family Promise in March 2024, as a Café Collections for a Cause partner. Donations were collected in stores nationwide and Bob’s matched those donations dollar-for-dollar, <a href="https://blog.mybobs.com/blog/bobs-discount-furniture-raises-over-35000-for-family-promise-to-support-families-experiencing-homelessness/">contributing</a> over $35,000 to the organization.</p><p>“Supporting Family Promise is a natural fit for Bob’s,” shared Lindsay Ruszczyk, Communications, PR, and Community Outreach Director. “We share a deep commitment to supporting our local communities and we both believe that everyone deserves a home they love.”</p><p>Family Promise began more than 30 years ago and now has a presence in almost every state serving nearly a quarter of a million people every year.</p><p>Through the Plushies for Charity program, Bob’s and its guests can help Family Promise continue its work supporting families through multiple programs, including eviction prevention, emergency shelter, stabilization, and housing services. It will also ensure that the issue of family homelessness is brought to the attention of furniture shoppers nationwide.</p> </div>

<p>Emilia was born premature and spent 143 days in the neonatal intensive care unit battling breathing difficulties, weight gain challenges, and a diagnosis of Craniosynostosis. Even after leaving the NICU, her fight continued with oxygen support and surgeries. A diagnosis of Juvenile Arthritis added another hurdle. But through it all, Emilia’s resilience shone. The Angel Eye cameras, funded by Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, allowed her family to stay connected, providing comfort and strength during long hospital stays. Today, Emilia continues to defy expectations, proving that even the smallest fighters can overcome immense challenges.
