Thank you to our guests and New York Islanders fans for making our annual holiday toy drive a success! Bob’s and the Islanders teamed up to collect hundreds of toys to benefit the Little Saint Nick Foundation, which supports children receiving treatment in healthcare facilities.
Bob’s hosted toy drives starting in late November at more than fifteen stores across metro-New York and Long Island. To kick off the drives, New York Islanders Alumnus Matt Martin was onsite at Bob’s in Carle Place to greet guests who donated. Guests who donated toys at participating Bob’s stores had the opportunity to enter to win tickets to an Islanders game.

On Wednesday, December 11, Bob’s employees volunteered to collect toys from Islanders fans attending their game versus the Anaheim Ducks. Fans who donated four new, unwrapped toys ahead of the game received a redeemable voucher for two tickets to an upcoming Islanders home game.

“It’s a privilege for Bob’s to host toy drives in our stores for this partnership,” said Rebecca Helfenbein, store manager, Bob’s Discount Furniture. “It’s also so meaningful to our team to volunteer alongside the Islanders for such an important cause this holiday season.”

Bob’s also presented a $2,500 donation for a room makeover to the John Theissen Children’s Foundation (JTCF) during the toy collection before the December 11 game.
