Bob's Opens Store in Woburn, Brings 36 New Jobs to Community and Donates $5,000 to Local Boys & Girls Club
Bob's Discount Furniture, the 2008 Furniture Retailer of the Year, now with 34 stores throughout New England, New Jersey and New York, today announced the opening of its newest store location in Woburn, Massachusetts. This latest opening comes shortly after Bob’s expanded its retail presence in New York with openings in Yonkers and Poughkeepsie. The retailer has plans to continuing expansion through the end of 2009 with a new another new location in the Northeast.
Offering great furniture at unbeatable prices is a commitment Bob’s Discount Furniture has made to its customers since the company’s inception. The new store location in Woburn, MA is bringing 36 jobs to the local community and, in combination with the store openings in New York earlier this year, Bob’s has brought 181 new employment opportunities to the communities in its footprint in 2009.

Grand opening festivities will kick-off at 114B Commerce Way on Thursday, September 3 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and events and activities will run throughout the Labor Day weekend. Through its Bob’s Outreach program, as part of entrance into the Woburn community, Bob’s Discount Furniture will be making a $5,000 donation to the Woburn Boys & Girls Club – a youth-focused non-profit organization.
